Breakfast at the Auto Show

From Keith Morgan, Vancouver BC:

My heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved Tony.

When I first landed from the UK in late 1980, Tony was among the first people to buy me lunch and introduce me to people I "should know", as he put it. Those new contacts gave me freelance work and eventually led to a job at The Province newspaper, where I remained for almost 35 years.

Over those years I ran into Tony often, especially when I took over editing The Province/Vancouver Sun Driving sections. I always counted him as a friend and worthy mentor. I'd hoped to see him at next year's Vancouver Auto Show but though that's now not possible. I will recall with fondness the breakfasts we enjoyed there on opening day. I'm sure many of our colleagues will do the same.

Tony - a fine man.
